The role has overall responsibility for managing the growth and performance of the organization, as agreed with the Board of Directors. Developing and implementing a global strategy, including responsibility for all strategic and commercial aspects of the organization; creating a vision for success.
They will be responsible for ensuring the viability, growth, sustainability and profitability of the organization whilst promoting and supporting a safe, harmonious and productive environment.
Collaborate with the Chair and the Board to define and articulate Organization’s vision, mission and values and develop strategies for achieving them. Effectively implement the strategy and business model to achieve the financial and commercial goals endorsed by the Board.
Review and establish an appropriate structure to support the airport operations.
Lead, manage and develop the organizational structure and provide strategic direction and support accordingly.
Develop and manage all operational structures and resources to enable the organization to achieve its strategic goals.
Ensure deployment of resources to enhance profitability and the quality of the workforce experience.
Develop short and long-range plans and strategies to improve and/or expand airport facilities, to attract passengers and increase utilization of airport facilities, commercial flights and general aviation services; and to attract and retain tenants in order to maximize airport utilization and development.
Maintain and enhance the organization’s profile and reputation; responsible for external relations; effectively representing the company at all times including attendance at key functions, industry events and public meetings.
In cooperation with the Board of Directors, government officials, airline representatives and others, plan, coordinate, and direct for all activities at the airport
Work closely with the CFO to prepare annual budgets, complete risk analysis on potential investments, and advise the Board of Directors with regard to investment risk and return.
Provide annual budget and financial plans to the governing board for approval.
Ensure compliance with external regulatory requirements in all jurisdictions.
Requirements & Qualifications
First degree in business/public administration, airport management or related field is required. An advanced degree from an accredited college or university in a business-related field (e.g., MBA, Law) is highly desired,
Extensive executive level leadership experience and knowledge of the aviation industry, including compliance requirements.
10+ years of successful senior level management experience in at a commercial aviation airport at a medium hub airport, or comparable large organization executive management experience is required.
Demonstrated knowledge of strategic, business and management principles and practices.
Strong Financial Acumen and highly Analytical and numerate
Highly-motivated self-starter, with a positive, professional attitude, strong work ethic and critical attention to detail.
